"香草天空"改編自西班牙導演Alejandro Amenabar在1997年執導的浪漫驚悚片"Abre Los Ojos" (Open Your Eyes 睜開你的雙眼) ,Cameron Crowe的版本將劇情鋪陳的更簡單更易懂且更現代化!!等待近半年後,Vanilla Sky終於在萬眾期盼下在台灣發行了,即使之前香港發行了一段時間,我仍然沒機會看到,在第一時 間將DVD帶回來,以興奮的 心情開始放映!!
映入眼簾的是一片片清新純淨的Menu,白 底配上幾個灰黑文字,再搭配一張莫內的Vanilla Sky畫作,與幾張蘇菲亞的生活照!!莫內的 香草天空虛幻而不存在,全靠畫筆與白紙而創作,蘇菲亞的 一切存在與否只有大衛知道,我們只能靠想像與記憶而留影.DVD的 幕後花絮中收錄了兩段「自拍」,還記得Cameron來台灣時帶著一台DV 到處拍嗎??(真恨當初沒有去,不然也有 可能入鏡,我可能是少數只為Cameron Crowe瘋狂的人吧!!!) 這台DV也拍遍了香草天空宣傳各處,另外也有 演員排演及NG片段(按劇照選單上的面具就看的到了).可惜這些影片都沒有加上中文字幕,大家得用 心點聽了!!!
劇情描述著David Aames繼承在父親在紐約的一家出版社擔任主管,事業有成、年輕富有,有位無話不談的好友Brian,更 另人羨慕的是他那帥氣不羈的外表,連名模Julie也 為他瘋狂.這位天之驕子不乏女人投懷送抱,但他始終 抱著隨性的性愛生活態度.某天一場生日派對,邂逅一位 到紐約發展的舞蹈家Sofia,她有氣質又優雅,他為她瘋 狂,他們度過了一個什麼都沒做的夜晚後,跟隨他的Julie突然出現,他上了車,兩人衝突不斷,無論David如何安撫,一切已經 太遲,車墜落橋下.....
大難不死的David雖然保住性命,但他那帥 的讓女人心痛的外貌卻毀了,他發現身旁的人看他的眼光都不同,他深愛的 人也不願與他一同出去,一切視為理所當然的人生觀也從此改變,頹廢至極 的他醉倒在街上.隔天,Sofia出乎意料的回到他身邊鼓勵他,但David的潛意識裡仍然擔心Julie會回來找他...一位 心理治療師慢慢卸下David的心防,抽絲剝繭 的結果卻發現更驚人的事實(?)
如果你堅持主角穿梭在夢境與真實之間,那只有在大衛醉倒在街上,蘇菲亞將他叫醒帶他回家當時了,天空一片 變成香草色,畫面像被一層霧給蒙上,這時大衛 正式進入夢鄉!!!! 可是,我不這麼想,還記得David是一個忙的連兩秒鐘也要為同事解決小鎖事的主管嗎???你試過一個晚上八個小時做了三四個夢嗎?? 你試過一個夢跨越古今嗎??夢境的世界你永遠不會了解,當然,它也能出現車禍、愛人、派對,甚至一百 五十年後的延續生命冰凍技術. 如果你從頭到尾一秒也沒錯過, 更不能錯過最後一秒, 了解我所說的嗎?
很抱歉在大家看完複雜的劇情後還要看複雜的觀後感. 提一些比較單純的東西吧!!
Julie一角是個充滿自信魅力,但內心脆弱的模特兒,在片中她正發行了一張個人專輯,就在Julie和David衝突的車上,背景音樂放著Cameron Diaz演唱的I'll Full Apart,這是Diaz繼「哈啦瑪莉」及「史瑞克」後再度在電影中演唱,如果電影中聽不清楚,一定要買原聲帶回來聽!!另外很驚訝的在香草天空一片看到很久不見的Kurt Russell、演技派的Tilda Swinton以及年輕一輩的Alicia Witt (下一個就是你)!!!
另一驚訝的是Cameron Crowe有勇氣改編如此爭議的劇本,以往他的作品像「征服情海」「成名在望」「單身貴 族」都是浪漫又帶些笑點,拍的人輕鬆,看的人開 心,但這次「香草天空」卻是拍的人嚴肅,看的人沈 重. Cameron的野心讓我看的過癮!!! 管他的評價是否兩極....當然電影總是會帶給觀眾一些正面啟示,貫穿全片 的一句「Open Your Eyes」好像是在提醒我們「睜開眼,看清楚你所有,看清楚你 身旁的人,看清楚自己做的」.
而潘妮洛普克魯茲在片中所說的「每一秒鐘的決定,都可以 讓你的人生從此不同」,隨著大衛睜開他的雙眼清醒後,我們對生命的本質是否有更深刻的感觸呢???在我的工作上通常要跟Customer推介好電影,如果 要用簡短的幾個字來形容這部電影的類型,香草天空應該是一部驚悚、懸疑、浪漫、科幻加少許推理類吧!!! 如果你很容易知道他在演什麼,那你可能看太少電影了,一定要用複雜的思考,反覆推疑,這樣才不失樂趣.

I love the movie "The nightmare before Christmas", walking in HMV and found Joanna Wong was singing this song in her asia concert.....今日情緒低落指數甚高，give me one more week to finish it....plan for my schedule of escape.
